The Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 is a native Matter-over-Thread device designed to provide high-precision motion detection and ambient light sensing without being tied to a specific proprietary hub. it marks a significant shift for Aqara by moving from Zigbee to the Thread protocol, which offers faster response times and improved energy efficiency. -Dual-Sensor Design: It combines a Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor and an independent ambient light sensor. Unlike previous models, the light sensor can be used on its own to trigger automations (e.g., closing curtains when lux levels exceed a certain threshold). -Wide Detection Range: It features a horizontal viewing angle of 170° and can detect movement up to 7 metres away.
