Tailors Wanted

Responsibilities Take accurate customer measurements and record them properly. Cut fabrics according to approved patterns and measurements. Sew and assemble garments neatly and professionally. Make adjustments and alterations where necessary. Ensure proper finishing, including hems, zippers, buttons, linings, and other details. Follow provided designs, styles, and customer specifications. Inspect completed garments for quality, neatness, and accurate fitting. Complete orders within agreed deadlines. Maintain sewing machines, tools, and the work area in good condition. Work collaboratively with other tailors and fashion-house staff. Handle fabrics and other materials carefully to minimize waste. Maintain good customer service and professionalism.

Requirements Proven experience as a tailor or fashion designer. Good knowledge of sewing, cutting, and garment construction. Ability to take accurate measurements and follow patterns/designs. Good finishing and attention to detail. Ability to work with different fabrics and garment styles. Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently. Good knowledge of sewing machines and basic maintenance. Creativity and willingness to learn new styles and techniques. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible. A portfolio or samples of previous work is an advantage.

Qualification Requirements Formal educational qualification is not compulsory. Applicants with a vocational training certificate, fashion-design/tailoring certificate, or relevant training will have an added advantage. Proven practical experience in tailoring and garment production is highly valued. Applicants without formal certification may be considered based on their skills, experience, and quality of work. Ability to read and understand basic instructions is an advantage. A portfolio or samples of previous work may be requested.
