1. Mint (genus Mentha) is a highly fragrant, versatile, and hardy perennial herb known for its bright green leaves, square stems, and, most notably, the intense, cooling sensation it imparts due to its high menthol content. 2. Rich in Vitamin A and C, along with small amounts of calcium, iron, and potassium. 3. Used for its soothing properties, including improving digestion, reducing nausea, alleviating headaches, and calming symptoms of IBS. 4. A natural remedy for bad breath, it is used in toothpastes, chewing gum, and mouthwashes for its anti-bacterial properties. 5. Used in oils for mental fatigue, as well as in soaps, perfumes, and creams. 6. Available fresh, dried, or as an essential oil for medicinal and cosmetic applications. Note: Avoid consuming during breastfeeding as it may reduce milk production.
