Purpose & Function
Manual Call Point (MCP): A manual activation device. Someone must physically press/break the glass (or resettable element) to trigger the fire alarm. It’s for immediate human-initiated response in emergencies.
Smoke Detector: An automatic detection device. It continuously monitors the air and triggers the alarm when it detects smoke particles (no human action needed). Ideal for early warning during fires where people may not be present or aware.
