Supporting students – Providing academic guidance, counseling, and encouragement to help students succeed. Monitoring progress – Keeping records of attendance, performance, and behavior, and identifying students who need extra support. Communicating with parents and guardians – Discussing students' academic progress, behavior, and welfare. Participating in school activities – Supervising extracurricular activities, clubs, sports, and school events. A bachelor's degree in Education or in a relevant subject (e.g., Mathematics, English, Biology, Physics, Chemistry). A teaching qualification (such as PGDE, B.Ed., or equivalent, where applicable). Registration with the relevant teaching regulatory body (e.g., in Nigeria, the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN)). Good knowledge of the school curriculum and subject content. Previous teaching experience (preferred by many schools). Ability to use computers and educational technology for teaching. A clean professional record and good moral character.
