Tutu is a systemic broad spectrum insecticide. Effectively controls sucking pests like aphids, whiteflies, thrips, jassids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, and some chewing insects (e.g., beetles, armyworms) on key crops such as maize, rice, cotton, vegetables, potatoes, soybeans, sugarcane, and fruit trees, commonly applied as seed treatments, soil drenches, in-furrow, or foliar sprays in tropical farming systems for vegetable, maize, and cash crop protection. Key benefits include prolonged residual activity (weeks to months, especially from seed/soil applications), reduced need for frequent reapplications, enhanced crop establishment & vigor (with some studies showing phytotonic or biostimulant effects like improved root development, nutrient uptake, and yield increases in responsive crops), effective management of persistent sucking pests.
