A Zigbee Smart Recessed Sensor is the hidden version of a door/window contact sensor. Instead of the 2-piece white box you stick on the frame, it's a small cylinder that you drill into the door frame / door edge, so it's completely invisible when the door is closed. How it works - Main sensor tube in the frame + a small magnet in the door. When the magnet moves away (door opens), it triggers. - Protocol: Zigbee 3.0 / ZHA 1.2 - Needs a Zigbee hub/gateway 1. Invisible security: No one can see you have a sensor from inside or outside - clean look, good for front doors, rental, or premium homes. 2. No false knocks-off: Stuck-on sensors fall off. Recessed can't. 3. Automation: When door opens/closes you can trigger: - Lights ON/OFF - AC OFF if window open - Security alert / notification - Arm alarm mode
