Non-rotating wire rope, also known as rotation resistant wire rope, is designed to minimize the tendency of the rope to twist or spin under load. This is achieved by constructing the rope with layers of strands laid in opposite directions, effectively counteracting the rotational forces. The outer layer is twisted in the reverse direction of the inner layers.
