Heavy Commercial & Industrial Loads, Hotel, School, or Shopping Plaza can easily pull 150+ Amps when all the ACs, pumping machines, and cold rooms turn on.Risk: If you use a 100A switch for this load, the copper blades will get red hot and melt the plastic handle.Solution: The 200A switch has much thicker copper blades (often double thickness) to handle this massive heat without failing. 2. Three-Phase Power Management Most 200A setups are 3-Phase (4-Pole). This switch allows a facility manager to change over all three phases (Red, Yellow, Blue) + Neutral simultaneously from NEPA to a large Diesel Generator (e.g., 50kVA - 100kVA Mikano/Perkins). 3.
