Honda Pilot is a relatively new model first manufactured in 2003. This crossover SUV is one of the most practical and functional models in the auto market. Featuring three rows of seating, the vehicle is especially appreciated by large or growing families. It can safely and comfortably accommodate up to eight passengers. The cargo capacity is impressive, too. Anyway, this does not mean that Honda Pilot is not a stylish or powerful model. With a V6 3.5-liter power engine that makes 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, Pilot shows remarkable fuel economy. The model is equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox and rides 19mpg in city and 27mpg on highways. Honda does not offer a variety of trim levels. Instead, it presents a couple of basic ones each made to Honda's highest standards. For instance, the Elite and Touring trims are armed with nine-speed transmissions and all-wheel-drive systems. The importance of the latter is especially felt when torque vectoring for mud, sand and snow. It provides far better handling.
Honda Pilot is enriched with all the amenities for passengers and drivers to ride safely. These include ABS, VSA ESC (electronic stability control), side impact beams, airbag occupancy sensor, airbags, back-up camera, safety belts, etc. Entertainment features include a premium audio system with seven speakers, color LCD screen (5" size), and others. Other amenities count six-way driver and four-way passenger reclining seats, cruise control, manual tilt, etc.
