A Crosby shackle is a high-quality, U-shaped metal connector, forged from alloy steel, used in rigging for secure lifting, towing, and connecting slings, ropes, or cables, known for its superior strength, durability (often quenched and tempered), clear Working Load Limit (WLL) markings, and safety features like alloy pins and corrosion resistance, meeting rigorous standards like ASME B30.26.
