If you cannot afford a 2-year postgraduate course in Canada, why not look for a 1-year program, then make sure your spouse has a high-valued skill such that she can almost immediately get a job when you get to Canada, that is under TEER 0-3.
This way, she would have been eligible for CEC category of PR while you are rounding up your studies; and the whole family gets PR if your score is high enough.
