The massage of the sheath and the perineum can be done by the pregnant woman herself or by her partner (3 to 4 times per week, for 5 to 10 minutes). Before you start the massage it is wise to first go to the toilet and possibly take a bath . take a pleasant, relaxed position and provide a reasonable amount of oil on your thumb (if your partner massages on the index finger) so that the thumb slides smoothly over the tissue without causing pain. Bring your thumb 3 to 4 cm into the sheath and massage the wall of the sheath rhythmically and with light pressure (clockwise on a watch from 9 to 3 and back again). This stretches the tissue and the surrounding muscles, so that it feels smoother and more relaxed with every massage. Massage the tissue until it starts to itch. Then carefully massage the tissue between the sheath and the anus (the perineum) between the thumb and the middle finger. After the massage, you can wash away oil residues around the vagina and the perineum with warm water.
Almond oil softens the skin, makes it supple and has a soothing effect on sensitive skin.
Wheat germ oil regulates the moisture content of the skin, promotes blood circulation and supports the skin's ability to regenerate.
Ethereal rose oil (Rosa damascena) supports skin regeneration and brings you spiritually in balance.
Essential oil of muscat sage has a relaxing and loosening effect on the tissue.
Other essential oils, including lavender and geranium, act as a fragrance and have a preservative effect.
