Among the cheap handsets offered by Tecno Mobile, the P5 has its own space. Being a mid-range device in all aspects, the price of the model, yet cannot but nicely surprises us. Perhaps the reason is the fact that Tecno took African countries with Nigeria and Kenya in particular, as its target markets. And paying attention to the solvency level of the customers here, it won't be smart to set astronomical costs on these smartphones.
Measuring 124.3mm x 65.5mm x 10.5mm, this handset has a slender design with curved edges so that the device feels great in hands. It has a plastic case with a chrome rim that goes all around its frame. This feature adds a high-end look to the device.
The gadget's screen is a 4-inch one providing 480 x 800 res. Surely this criterion is not enough to experience great viewing, yet it delivers quite a decent operation.
Tecno powered the P5 handset with a Dual-core 1GHz processor supported by 512MB of RAM memory - the latter seems to be nonsense, though. Anyway, it does not hamper the good performance of the CPU.
The internal memory capacity is 4GB with an SD card support (up to 32GB). This should be enough for storing apps and media files. The Tecno P5 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Though being a mid-range handset, the P5 comes with a 5MP back (plus LED flashlight) and 2MP front cameras. The primary one shoots 2560 x 1920-pixel photographs and videos.
The battery choice fell on an 1800mAh Li-Ion battery this time. If you think it is a poor battery, mind that Tecno provides a power bank with every model sold totally free of charge.
Considering the grandiosely low price, great look, and moderate specs, the handset is undoubtedly worth buying.
