I was previously employed by University Preparatory Secondary School (UPSS) where i functioned as Systems/Network Administrator before I opted out for further training to obtain my CCNA and MCSA Certifications. I believe that the skills and experiences I gained at the said position make me an ideal candidate for the job of IT Personnel. As a Systems Administrator/IT Support officer, I have developed strong technical analytic skills and knowledge of network architecture.
For example, some of my main duties included but were not limited to: Setup and maintenance of the school’s (UPSS) computer laboratory (120 user capacity, Thin-computing) as well as fix tablets and personal computers for staffs and students. Setup and administration of school’s CCTV/IP Cameras and network wired and wireless.
Managing the School’s database for the following programs: staff and student profile management and result system, stock and inventory management application, school’s question bank system and automated salary system. Setup of projectors and computer controlled lightings for the school’s events. Retrieval of attendance log from RFID and Fingerprint attendant system. Biometric registration. Configuration of student’s customized tablets with digital learning aids. Generating internet tickets for student’s internet access on their tabs in their classrooms (Using Mikrotik user manager). Teach Internetworking (Lab Session) for senior secondary classes.
These duties require strong technical skills, and have taught me to stay calm under pressure, multitask and manage time wisely as I have to deal with so many users (staffs and students) who may at times be impatient.
Piloting the ICT department of the school has also taught me to become versatile as I easily learn to adapt to change in technology as well as appreciation of new technologies by the institution. For example, when the school purchased some professional computer controlled lighting equipment for PROM party, I had to learn to operate the equipment in no time so that I could give the audience a professional lighting experience.
Also, my ability to build strong working relationship and trust with satisfied clients earned me an opportunity to work for corporate bodies such as the Edo state house of Assembly and the National Broadcasting Commission (Benin Zone) as a freelancer.
I am confident that my experience as a Systems Administrator/IT Support officer, my strong technical skills and my ability to build good working relationship qualify me for consideration. If you would like, I can provide you with further proof of my competence.I look forward to meeting with you and discussing my qualifications in more detail
