I studied Mechanical Engineering and graduated with Bachelor honours in the Second Class division from Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria. During my final study year in the University, I worked on my graduate thesis, which involved completing a year-long exciting research, during which I worked on discovering novel ways of solving the power challenges typified in the context of developing countries such as Nigeria, which led to my successful invention and building of an original prototype device, designed to be connected to soakaways or any domestic sewage systems to power electrical generators of any type. This research undertaking required me to utilize, and helped improve my problem solving skills in the complexity of creating something that only once existed as rudimentary, conceptual design in my mind into a viable, physical product. In addition, my project helped me understand fully, the product lifecycle of evolving a design into a workable, realistic, finished device that can meet all of its target design objectives.
Furthermore, prior to working on this energy project, I undertook an undergraduate internship at a Peugeot Automobile Workshop subsidiary company called Abadat Motors, which provided me with the hands-on opportunity to learn firsthand, some technical skill involving automobile repairs and servicing. I also worked as a Field Engineer at FERMA(Federal Emergency Road Maintenance Agency) where I had the primary responsibility of drawing up logistics, equipment maintenance and servicing, and using Computer Aided Simulation software like AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor for designing road projects.
I am a conscientious person who is a very hard worker and pays attention to every detail for process optimization. In addition, I am quick to pick up new skills and have the core humility to learn and unlearn from others; Whilst also having the self-initiative and resourcefulness to come up with game-changing ideas to advance the key objectives of my team.
