I have always had a strong desire to make the world a better place and help vulnerable, underserved populations, and the voiceless, and to provide accessible and affordable health care services and resources, as well as ensuring the basic necessities of life, food and clean water.
Following my medical inclinations, I have acquired professional experience from all aspects of the Medical laboratory including: Hematology, Medical microbiology, Histopathology, Blood banking, chemical pathology departments. I was involved in analyzing various biological samples, calculating additions and renewing safety data sheets. I accepted responsibility for a number of daily procedures and this emphasized the importance to me of both cleanliness and accuracy.
To reinforce my determination, I served at the Ministry of Health, Global Funds (HIV Grant), to aid the diagnosis and management of patients infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and also to prevent the spread of the virus. I have realized the effects such illness can have on patients and their families and I appreciate how fulfilling it is to be able to help patients is in such circumstances.
I have experienced first-hand how diverse the medical personnel's job can be; not just diagnosing and managing diseases and infections, but also the empathy and compassion needed delivering effective care. My aspiration for excellence and to succeed within the medical profession will no doubt help make a difference to the lives of the future
