As an event manager you will have responsibility for putting on a range of events.
You'll manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the actual day itself and the post-event evaluation.
The role is very hands-on and often involves working as part of a team.
Although the work is largely office based, you'll need to travel to visit clients, partners, sponsors, venues and other suppliers. You may need to work outside to plan and deliver the event, e.g. an outdoors concert or festival.
•As an event manager you must posses an excellent coordination skills as they are responsible for everything to do with the event, including the service of food, staff training, set up of the room, menu and entertainment (if applicable)
•You will also have to work closely with the guests to make sure that everything is to their satisfaction.
•The happiness of the client is the responsibility of the event manager.
•Creativity is a very useful trait for this role.
•Good interpersonal skills are essential.
•The role also requires that you provide the highest possible level of customer service, as the satisfaction of the guests is the number-one priority. Because it involves a high level of commitment, salaries are usually competitive and a management or business degree is helpful.

•coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget;

•oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently;
