My career in the hospitality industry started at Ikoyi Hotel Limited and through hard work and dedication climbed the rungs of leadership to become the Food and Beverage Supervisor.
My passion for the industry led me to join Bec Suites and Offshore Catering Company as the Pioneer Food and Beverage later Operation Manager after leaving Ikoyi Hotel. There, I was able to amongst others; reduce the huge operational cost by more than 37% but with a rise in operational efficiency of about 40%. This led to a very high cost savings benefits which had a significant annual revenue return on turnover. My commitment to duties also earned me the prestigious Rotary Club 911 Award for Dignity in Labour in year 2003.
In my quest for higher responsibilities, I joined Bon Voyage as the Food and Beverage Manager and was able to transform the department into a profitable one. Revenue increased tremendously, while cost increased only marginally. I developed a team work spirit among staff which yielded much result.
A desire to put my rich knowledge and experience into the Restaurant chain instigated my movement to join Mat-Ice Hotel and Restaurant Limited as the Operations Manager since 2012. Am glad to say, my achievements are, good customer relationship attitude among staff, accurate and transparent accounting system, organized stock and waste control management, Effective material supply negotiation and control. Two branches where opened within three years of my engagement due to my commitment to expansion and system based management approach.
Having gained broad exposure to a number of business development functions, I have also learned quickly how to build leadership, analytical and creative problem solving skills. My background has also afforded me many “intangible” qualifications. Qualities such as resourcefulness, insight, adaptability, pride, and a common sense are just a few; protocol including integrity, accountability, appropriateness and a strong honest work ethics are part of the others.
