WS-X6716-10G-3C consists of 16 X2 10 Gigabit Ethernet fiber ports line card module for Cisco Catalyst 6500 series only.* WS-X6716-10G-3C equipped with WS-X6716-10G and WS-F6700-DFC3C and primarily designed for Supervisor Engine 720 with 3C daughter card to support Cisco 6500 Virtual Switching System (VSS) 1440. WS-X6716-10G-3C is ideally suited for LAN campus aggregation and data center access. Users can configure 4 port groups of 4 ports each, each port group in either oversubscription mode or performance mode. In performance mode, up to 4 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports can be used to create a virtual switch link in a VSS.
