I have always worked as project support officer or the project lead in most of the working capacities I have held. Most recently, as the General manager of Blaar (Now Mileti) Limited, a construction supplies company, I, leading my team, handled our field operations ranging from supervision of staff and vehicles, on time delivery of client orders, hosting and managing meetings and events, organizing stakeholders and shareholders meeting, sourcing for funds, grants and loans to run our operations, reporting to the board of shareholders on developments, challenges and postulating solutions or working with guidance from them. I work as the company's spokesperson handling issues with Unions, resolving conflicts, liaising with automobile engineers, our bankers, paying and managing our suppliers, operating a real-time 24 hours inquiry and solutions desk.
Blaar (Mileti) Limited, a company registered in the Federal republic of Nigeria is a company I founded and my true passion that I have been working on behind other jobs I have held. Building it gradually from start up, Mileti has grown to carve a niche for itself. It is a construction supplies company, we handle on site workers, equipment and construction materials included but not limited to sands, gravel, rods, cement, and finishings.
Previously, I worked within two high-volume customer/company support system for two major airlines, both are international carriers, one is commercial and the other is private(luxury private: conveying state governors, senators and wealthy politicians; and medivac: conveying doctors, nurses and patients. I worked as a Business development Manager and Sales and marketing Officer. In these positions, I demonstrated the ability to retain and expand our customer base, grow revenue, and resolve a variety of issues and complaints (such as delayed or cancelled flights, missing baggage, no-shows, catering and financial disputes). I consistently left all our clients satisfied, met my call-volume goals, handling an average of 56 to 60 calls per day, and working alongside my team to ensure safety, customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
Hence, I gained considerable interpersonal skills during this time, dealing with irate citizens, or the elderly, pleasant individuals or generally uncooperative people, whilst working on a tight time deadline to meet each and every flight.
Most Importantly, I have worked as an Education officer in Northern Nigeria, Yola to be precise in Adamawa State. I was lecturing General studies Education, English language, lecturing a student strength of 8,000 - 9,000 students, at about 1,000 - 2,000 per class. With poor infrastructure yet ensuring that knowledge is passed across. Organizing tests, and examinations, marking scripts, collating results, reporting to the Head of Department etc.
I also bring to the table strong computer proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS database applications, internet marketing skills and being multilingual - I speak English, French, Yoruba, some Hausa too. Please see the accompanying resume for details of my experience and education.
