Academically I hold a B.Tech degree in Transport Management Technology and 18 years’ experience in Logistics and Transport Management. My knowledge of computer has also assisted me in the Logistics business.
My experience covers Maintenance management, goods haulage, passenger mass transit, distribution management. I have held several positions Logistics supervisor, Assistant Logistics manager, Logistics/Transport manager, operation supervisor, Head of operation and Logistics and strategic manager.
I have a sound knowledge of budgeting and can interpret P&L to drive effective and efficient operations with profit generation in mind. I have experience in route planning, transport scheduling, driver’s management, third party logistics management and operations cost control. I equally have experience in materials and spare procurement and management.
I have used my interpersonal and influencing skills to restructure fragmented logistics teams to deliver efficient and quality service. Presently I manage peer group and coordinate activities of fleet maintenance team, operations and branch managers to ensure proper fleet maintenance. While doing the above I also keep track of the three major cost components; fuel, tyres and maintenance to ensure we operate within budget.
