I am a young, dynamic and result oriented finance expert with almost 16 years non-stop experience in the telecommunications sector and manufacturing outfit, audit assurance and Oil/ Gas Finance Operations.
Presently, I work as an Accountant with the SIM TRADE LIMITED: an oil and Gas trading in importation and selling of AGO (Gas Oil), PMS and distribution for direct marketing to major Oil and independent marketers within West Africa sub regions. Prior to that movement, I was with WA Professionals: A Chartered Accounting Firm with an international affiliate to Allot Group. While there I had the basic audit responsibilities covering Financial Reporting & Audit in presenting financial statement, Tax Computation, Financial statement analysis. I’m equally involved in pre-plan audit exercise. Proper audit engagement, audit trail to the audit working papers to ensure success of the annual audit engagement, audit review for ratification and presentation of financial statement to the clients board.
Within January 2018 - December 2018, I also serve as a finance consultant to Base4 Engineering Ltd, an advisory role in Tax Computation and adjustment for tax returns and annual filling to the relevant tax authorities such as LIRS, FIRS.
I was with MTN Nigeria within a space of October, 2004 and April 2017 before I joined the audit firm.
MTN Nigeria Communications Ltd, the leading mobile telecommunications company in Nigeria and a multibillion dollar telecommunication firm.
Prior to joining MTNN, I had functioned as an Assistant Accountant with SC Johnson Wax Nigeria limited where I was in charge of activities such as investment of funds for optimal returns, bank reconciliation and bank relationship management.
Other responsibilities which I was able to undertake while with the same company include: Management of the company’s loans with banks which included raising timely repayment and confirmation of appropriateness of entries in the statement of account, preparation of cash position to identify funding needs and investment opportunities, computation of investment income and interest receivables, general ledger management and reconciliation to sub-ledgers.
I joined MTNN in November, 2004 as general ledger administrator in Sales and Distribution. There I was part of the financial control team responsible for reconciling the general ledger on trade partners’ collection and payment to bank statement and reporting to the corporate finance and financial reporting unit of the finance department.
I eventually rose to become the team lead of the financial control unit in the Sales and Distribution Division between the year 2010 - 2011 before moving to join the Treasury Department in Finance Division.
Upon joining the Treasury team as an analyst in 2012, I have functioned in several roles which include: Payment processing to local vendors, Form A processing, Payment through Domiciliary account to third parties, Advance Payment Guarantee processing, Domiciliation of purchase order processing, e-transfers of statutory and regulatory agencies such as NCC, Letters of credit as detailed in my attached curriculum vitae.
It is pertinent to mention that I have undertaken every function available in the Treasury Operations Unit successfully which is an attestation to the skills listed below.

Over the years, I have been involved in a number of projects that have added value to the organization. These are:
- Assisted in developing/ executing the automation processes of reconciliation of trade partners ordering processes on invoices / payment to avoid loss of revenue and also for audit trail purposes.
- Achieved the Annual Tax Audit request: VAT, WHT, TAX RETURNS FILLING for SC Johnson Wax Nigeria Ltd. (2002-2004)
- Actualized the aging analysis of other creditors trading inventory (accrual position) matching the invoices _payment to ascertain actual position for the accrual and payables in the financial reporting.
- Actively involved in the review of the dealer and connect stores collections account reconciliation to meeting up with the current audit review specifications for financial reporting purposes.
My short term career aspiration over the next 5years is to be a part of the corporate finance management staff of a blue chip AA rated firm other than where I have gotten finance related job experience within or outside economy.
In the long run say like ten years, I see myself as a finance director of a big firm or a multinational.
My varied work experience in MTNN particularly in the Treasury Operations Unit has positioned me for higher responsibilities in line with my career aspiration
